Kirill Yemelyanov/ social networks
Russian actor Kirill Yemelyanov, known for his roles in the TV series “Kadetstvo” and “Bastards”, supported Russia’s criminal invasion of Ukraine. A few weeks after the start of the full-scale invasion in mid-March 2022, he published a photo of himself on one of the social networks, to which he added the Russian flag and the words “For Russia! For freedom! To the end!” and “#I’m Not Ashamed”.
When Ukrainians started writing negative comments after the publication, the actor published a separate post with a screenshot of these comments and the caption: “I read your curses… I feel sorry for you fools.”
He also called Ukrainians “pathetic clowns” on social networks, complaining that his account could be blocked due to complaints sent by Ukrainian citizens to his page after he had supported the bloody war.
