American actor Steven Seagal remains a strong supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, even after Putin launched a full-scale war against Ukraine. Seagal has expressed his admiration for Putin, stating that he believes the Russian President is one of the greatest world leaders alive today.
It is worth noting that the American actor received Russian citizenship in 2016. He had expressed support for the illegal annexation of Crimea and occupation of part of Donbas. He even later joined the pro-Kremlin Just Russia party in 2021.
Steven Seagal was able to “blend in” seamlessly with the Kremlin’s inner circle that he even celebrated his 70th birthday on 10 April 2022 in Moscow. The famous Russian propagandists Margarita Simonyan and Vladimir Solovyov, who were among the guests, accompanied him.
