Propaganda article by Russian public figure, political technologist and propagandist Timofey Sergeytsev, “What should Russia do with Ukraine?” appeared on “Ria-novosti” on April 3, 2022. In it, he justified Russia’s criminal invasion of Ukraine by the “necessity of denazification”, called all Ukrainians “Nazis and Nazi colaborators,” and threatened them with repression and harsh censorship for “re-education”.

He claimed that a country undergoing so-called “denazification” cannot be sovereign. He proposed to get rid of the name “Ukraine” and start the process of de-Ukrainization to make Ukrainians forget their roots.

The propagandist called to kill the Ukrainian authorities and all defenders of our state. But he had two scenarios regarding the civilian population. In the spirit of Russian propaganda, he declared that Ukrainians must be “liberated from the terror, violence and ideological pressure of the Kyiv regime”, then called on everyone to be punished “for supporting Nazism”. And at the end of the material, he generally suggests condemning “helpers of the Nazi regime” to imprisonment or the death penalty.
