These are graphic works on the Holodomor of outstanding graphics George Shanayev. It is known that his mother, Olga Nikitichna Lanovyk (Shanayev), was saved from starvation be her aunt Mariya, who worked in Kyiv. When Mariya visited the village in Shpychentsi Ruzhyn district, Zhytomyr region, she found a completely Olga being swollen from hunger, because her mother, father and brother died of starvation in winter 1933. The woman took the girl with her. So it is the story about the surviving of future mother of artist George Shanayev.
