On June 5, 2018, Minister Lilia Grinevich met with General Director of National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial” Olesia Stasiuk at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The meeting was also attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Pavlo Polianskyi, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Vasyl Stus Ukrainian Human Rights Organization “Memorial” Yurii Balaniuk, leading Ukrainian historians Vasyl Marochko and Volodymyr Serhiychuk and a lawyer and diplomat Volodymyr Vasylenko.
The subject of the discussion was the place and the role of the history of the Holodomor in the educational process of school and higher education in the 21st century, the prospects for future research on the history of Holodomor by young scientists and teaching the history of the genocide of Ukrainian nation in Ukrainian schools.
