Czech senators honoured the memory of the Holodomor victims

Representatives of the delegation of the Senate of the Czech Parliament visited the Museum of the Holodomor and honoured the memory of the Ukrainians who died of famine near the sculpture “Bitter Memory of Childhood”.

The delegation of the Czech Senate, which is currently on an official visit to Kyiv, is headed by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security, Pavel Fischer. The delegation also includes Deputy Chairman of the Senate Thomas Chernin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Miroslav Balatka, Committee members Václav Laska, Marek Ostiadal and Jan Sobotka, as well as the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Radek Matula and his deputy Jiri Pretslik.

We will remind you that the Czech Republic recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people last year. Both chambers of the country’s Parliament made relevant decisions.
