On December 1, the Kyiv Three Saints Theological Seminary hosted an event honouring the Holodomor victims. The event was organised by second-year students. The brothers prepared a meaningful presentation, which presented a study on the topic “What happens to a person during a famine.” This is reported by the website of the Kyiv Three Saints Theological Seminary of the UGCC.
A special guest of the event was Mykhailo Kostiv, PhD in History, Head of the Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Research Department at the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide, Doctor of Philosophy in History. In his lecture, he spoke in detail about the tragic events of 1932–1933, their impact on Ukrainian society, and the importance of preserving national memory. The speaker also touched on the topic of the communist regime’s activities against Ukrainians and introduced the attending fathers-rectors, seminarian brothers, and parishioners to examples of the indomitable spirit of our people.
The event ended with a joint prayer for the souls of the victims who suffered at the hands of the communist regime during the Holodomor.
