Congratulations on the Constitution Day of Ukraine!

Dear friends!

The rights and freedoms of citizens are an essential and undeniable value of a civilized society. On June 28, 1996, we received the Constitution. In it, the people were declared to be the bearer of sovereignty and the only source of power; and the human being, his or her life and health, honour and dignity, inviolability and security are recognized in Ukraine as the highest social value.

Today, on the 26th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine, the enemy tramples on our rights and wants to take away our freedoms. And calls it “liberation.” But the lessons of the past remind us: that where there is no rule of law, there is no democratic state for which the highest value is its citizens. Instead, there is authoritarianism, totalitarianism, despotism, and a constitution that looks good on paper but is completely ignored in real life.

We do not want a return to the past. Therefore, the entire country today fulfils its main duty, specified in Article 65, which is to protect the Motherland, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
