The Canadian parliamentary delegation visited the Holodomor Museum

Today, October 15, the Holodomor Museum was visited by a multi-party delegation of the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada, headed by Speaker Greg Fergus. The guests honoured the memory of the Holodomor victims at the sculpture “Bitter Memory of Childhood,” visited the Hall of Memory and viewed the Museum’s exposition. The director general of the Museum, Lesia Hasydzhak, met the guests and led the tour.

The Canadian parliamentarians learned about the history of the Holodomor genocide, the crimes of the communist totalitarian regime, as well as the parallels between the events of 1932-1933 and the genocidal actions of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine today. The guests also inspected the construction of the second phase of the Museum.

Mr Greg Fergus and Ms Helena Jaczek shared their impressions of visiting the Holodomor Museum and making relevant comments in the Book of the Distinguished Guests.
