In the Italian city of Rimini, the exhibition “HOLODOMOR. Ignored Genocide”, the materials for which were provided by our museum.|It tells about the genocide of Ukrainians in 1932-1933, when millions of Ukrainians were tortured by famine as a result of the criminal actions of the Stalinist regime, in addition, it allows a clearer understanding of the deep causes of the current war in Ukraine. During the exhibition opening, those present also watched the film “The Living,” directed by Serhii Bukovsky.
The exhibition was organized by the Associazione Culturale Europea Italia-Ucarina Maidan – Piemonte. Co-organizers are the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide, the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy, the Consulate General of Ukraine in Milan and the Municipality of Rimini.
The exhibition will run until July 2 at the Luigi Tonini City Museum.
At the same time, we call on Ukrainian communities in other countries to join the organization of such exhibitions in their cities to commemorate the victims of genocide in the 90s of the Holodomor, as well as to inform the world community about Russia’s crimes against Ukraine in the past and today.
