Let’s Collect All Testimonies about the Holodomor on One Resource

On April 29, the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide will present the page “Testimonies”, the only online resource that will collect all the stories of eyewitnesses to the Holodomor of 1932–1933 and the mass artificial famines of 1921–1923 and 1946–1947.

Each person’s story is unique, but they all tell the truth about the greatest crimes of the Soviet government.

Each user of the resource will be able to find a testimony by place, time or hashtag. We propose to investigate the history of the Holodomor-genocide and mass artificial famines through the memories of eyewitnesses from one’s own city or village, district or region.

National memory unites us, and oral testimonies allow us to feel how individual people went through those horrible years.
