On July 7, Miroslaw Wleky, a Polish reporter and writer, author of the book “Gareth Jones. A person who knew too much,” and Olena Sheremet, the translator of the Ukrainian edition of the book, visited the National Museum of the Holodomor-genocide.
The guests listened to a tour at the museum’s Hall of Memory, conducted by the deputy head of the excursion and education department, Olha Vyhodovanets, and they met with the Acting Director General of the museum, Lesia Hasydzhak.
During the meeting, the guests got interested in the project of the II phase of the museum and the exposition that will be presented in it. Miroslaw Wleky also shared his thoughts on the history of the Holodomor, which appeared in the process of writing a book about Gareth Jones, and also talked about his creative plans.
Lesia Hasydzhak noted that knowledge about the Holodomor should be spread not only through scientific works. A variety of popular forms, including books and films, work well to make the subject of the Holodomor more understandable to a broader audience.
The guests also presented the book “Gareth Jones. The man who knew too much” with the author’s signature.
