The National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide, represented by Director General Lesia Hasydzhak, and the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, represented by Director Valeriy Smoliy, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership between the two institutions. The subject of the Memorandum is the cooperation of the Parties based on partnership in the field of scientific research of the period 1920-1940s, aimed at obtaining and using new knowledge and its popularisation.
According to the Memorandum, the parties’ cooperation will be implemented in joint scientific, research, cultural, and educational activities, participation in reviewing and other forms of approving manuscripts, exchange of experience and available scientific materials, mutual consultations and provision of methodological assistance, assistance in the formation of the museum and the museum’s library fund, etc.
“Over the past 2 years, we have developed fruitful practical cooperation with the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Employees of the Department of History of the 20s and 30s of the 20th century are part of the Scientific Council of the museum and also reviewed two works of the museum staff – a collection of documents on grain procurement in the Dnipropetrovsk region (compiler – doctor of historical sciences Nataliia Romanets) and a monograph of candidate of historical sciences Andriy Kozytskyi—A Big Lie. I am glad that our cooperation has now received logical documentation. After all, there is still a lot of work ahead, and this step shows trust in the museum as an institution and support,” commented the Director General of the museum, Lesia Hasydzhak.
