From November 21, the documentary “Family Album,” directed by Maryna Tkachuk, will be available in the Ukrainian cinemas.
The main character of the documentary is Samara Pearce, the great-granddaughter of the Austrian engineer Alexander Wienerberger, the author of the most famous photographs of the Holodomor. Ninety years later, she visited the Kharkiv region to take photos of new crimes and tell the world about them.
The film was shot by Good Morning Films, and produced by Andrii Korniienko. The project won the art competition at the State Public Enterprise “Multimedia Platform of Foreign Language of Ukraine” Channel Dim. It took place thanks to the state’s support of film production and partnership with the Holodomor Museum.
The film will have its world premiere at the Warsaw Film Festival on October 13.
