On December 15, the annual Peace Light of Bethlehem was delivered from Vienna by direct flight to Kyiv at St. Michael’s Cathedral.
The Peace Light of Bethlehem is an international scouting event to celebrate Christmas. Its idea is to spread the symbolic fire lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
On December 16, at 5:00 pm, the Plast scout organization visited the Holodomor Museum to convey the Peace Light.
“Plast members have conveyed this symbol of love and good to the community of Kyiv, and will soon be spreading it to state institutions, hospitals, orphanages. In particular, a group of scouts will bring the Peace Light of Bethlehem and Christmas presents to our defenders into the war zone. The scouts will deliver the Light to all Ukrainians till Christmas, so that on Christmas Eve the symbol of peace, which we desire so much, will be in our homes, ” the official page of Plast – Ukrainian Scouting informs.
