Webinar “The Holodomor of 1932-1933 in the Ukrainian Donbas: Engineer Jerry Berman’s Letters”

In 2021, 70 letters written in Stanytsia Luhanska in 1932-1933 by foreign engineer Jerry Berman were transferred to the funds of the Holodomor Museum. In this correspondence with relatives, he described his life and the life of ordinary workers in Soviet Ukraine.

Yana Hrynko, head of the exposition department of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide, spoke about the value of these testimonies during the “Historical Webinar” webinar.

We bring to your attention a video from which you will learn Jerry Berman’s biography, the story of the discovery of his letters and what the young engineer wrote about famine-stricken Ukraine.
