Russian actress Anastasia Panina supported the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In her publications on social networks, she makes it clear that she agrees with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s decision and has nothing against the fact that the Russian occupiers invaded an independent and sovereign neighbouring state.
In particular, the actress published out-of-context video statements of some Western politicians who said that it was the West that allegedly provoked Russia to attack with its promises to Ukraine to accept it into the EU and NATO.
Also, in many publications, she emphasised that she loves Russia, that it is her motherland, and that she will not allow anyone to insult her and her country.
At the end of March 2022, in the midst of Russian bombings of Ukrainian cities and killings of civilians, Panina complained on social networks about the “oppression of Russians” by Western countries. In her opinion, sanctions against the Russian Federation, travel bans, and refusal to admit Russian athletes to participate in competitions are allegedly unfair and dictated only by “the West dislike Russia”. The actress is silent in her publications about the real reason for the imposition of such restrictions on Russians by the West, namely Putin’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
