Natalia Oreiro is a Uruguayan and Argentinian singer, actress, designer and model. In Ukraine, she is known mainly for her roles in the TV series “Rich and Famous” and “Wild Angel”.
In June 2020, Oreiro submitted documents to obtain Russian citizenship. She became a Russian citizen in October 2021.
After the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine had started, she published a picture with the inscription “Peace” first, then – with the inscription, “No war” on her Instagram page. The text on the pictures was written in Spanish and Russian. After that, she no longer commented on the war, but continued to communicate with fans from Russia and express her love for the aggressor country of the Russian Federation.
Published the pictures “For Peace” and “No War” (February 28 and March 1, 2022)
A few days after the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she published first a white picture with the inscription “Peace” in Russian and Spanish. Next day – a black picture with the inscription “No war”. The singer disabled comments on both posts.
However, her publications on the subject of the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine ended there. Then, the singer simply refuses to talk about Russia’s criminal war against Ukraine.
