The Russian gymnast came out with Z for the awards

Russian gymnast Ivan Kuliak went to the awarding stage of the Gymnastics World Cup in Doha (Qatar) with a Z on his uniform, thereby demonstrating support for the criminal full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. It happened on 5 March 2022.
For this act, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) disqualified the Russian athlete for a year for violating the statute, the code of discipline, ethics and conduct, as well as the organisation’s technical regulations. Kuliak also had to return the bronze medal and monetary reward after this event.
