Russian rapper Timati, who has always been famous for his support for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, did not stand aside even after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation on the 24th of February. Timati fully supported Putin’s actions, writing about it in his social networks. The singer said that the alleged invasion is a “forced measure” that was provoked by “wrong decisions of the Ukrainian authorities in previous years.” He noted that “the situation in Ukraine was produced by the event.”
The singer began by declaring that “dialogue and peace are necessary between two countries that are very similar in mentality.”
At a concert in Luzhniki on 18 March 2022, after his performance, Timati confessed his love for Russia and said that he considers it the best country in the world.
In September 2022, after Putin announced a “partial” mobilisation in the Russian Federation, Timati even declared that he was allegedly not afraid of mobilisation and was ready to go to war if necessary. When he was called to “go to Donbas” on social networks, the singer succinctly replied that he was ready to go, but “if his specialty is needed there.”
