Painting of Viktor Tsymbal “1933” is considered the top achievements of the artist in the successful combination of deep history with philosophy and artistic form. He described the Holodomor not illustrative, but symbolic: the dead of starvation mother with a child, as if they are souls rising into space. At the same time the picture expresses gusting up and grandeur of calm eternity.
