Our activities at the Festival for children and teenagers “Different Together”
For the fourth time, the Holodomor Museum participates in the “Different Together” Festival for children and teenagers, organised by the Mystetskyi Arsenal team. The festival, which will take place on September 20-22, is dedicated to learning about the diversity of people through interaction, search, play and free choice.
The educational department of the Holodomor Museum presents two programs from its work: the interactive game “The Hiding Place” for children aged 7-12 and the workshop “Art of Propaganda: Poster vs. History” as part of the Youth Workshop.
On Sunday, September 22, at 11 a.m., Workshop 1 will host a “The Hiding Place” game for younger visitors and their parents. This interactive story is about 12-year-old Katrusia and her family, forced to survive during the Holodomor. We will learn how to survive, completing tasks and collecting grain for Katrusia’s hiding place, which will help her family survive the Holodomor.
At 3:30 p.m. on the same day, September 22, we will talk about posters as a historical source and tool of propaganda, analyse several posters of the 1930s and compare them with photographs of that time as part of the workshop “The Art of Propaganda: Poster vs History.”
