The employees of the Holodomor Museum met with the teachers of Odesa
At the invitation of the non-governmental organisation “Odesa Holocaust Research Center,” the Holodomor Museum staff went to Odesa and participated in an event for teachers and lecturers of history and civic education. The meeting took place on the basis of the Museum of Genocide “Territory of Memory.”
Dmytro Bilyi, a senior researcher at the Holodomor and Mass Man-made Famine Research Department, Professor, and Doctor of Historical Sciences, told the audience about the course and features of the Holodomor in Odesa. Yana Horodniak, head of the excursion and education department, shared information about our museum’s educational projects for children and teenagers, including online classes and tours for our young visitors.
From the museum, colleagues gave the present teachers the brochures titled “We Were Killed Because We Are Ukrainians,” which provides a brief history of the Holodomor genocide.
