The Museum Tour is Now Avaliable Online

Dear visitors, teachers, parents, pupils and students! We invite all of you to an online tour of the Holodomor Museum.

This is a unique opportunity to visit to the museum just from home, from your school or from anywhere in the world.

The museum team treats each visitor with care, but quarantine restrictions require changes in our work. We made sure that during the virtual visit, live interaction with the guide remains.

The format of the video tour allows you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the museum, learn about the history of the Holodomor, watch video chronicles, hear eyewitnesses’ accounts and see unique items that are not included into the main exhibition of the museum.

How is a video tour organized?

The video tour is designed for schoolchildren from 13 years old and adults. It consists of two parts. The first one is a video tour of the Holodomor Museum. The second is communication with a museum employee.

In the first part you will be able to:

  • visit the Holodomor Museum without leaving your home;
  • learn the causes and mechanisms of the Holodomor;
  • understand why the Holodomor is a genocide of Ukrainians;
  • learn more about honoring the victims of 1932–1933;
  • understand why it is important to preserve the family and national memory of the Holodomor.

The second part is a video conference via the Zoom platform. A museum employee will answer your questions, explain the unclear points and provide additional information.

The total duration of the video tour is up to 45 minutes.

How to book an online tour?

To visit the museum online, you must register in advance (at least three days before the planned tour).

Video tour is available daily from 10.00 to 18.00.

How much does it cost?

The video tour costs UAH 13 per person; minimum group is 5 people (when booking a tour for a smaller number of participants, payment is to be made for 5 people).
