From 16 to 19 August, a summer school is being held at the Mystetskyi Arsenal as part of the Heritage: Space for Work project.
On August 17, the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide participated in several events of the summer school. The “Heritage: Space for Work” program featured a discussion involving participants and the team from the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide. Our staff members included Hanna Sokyrina, Deputy Director General; Andrii Ivanets, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow in the Department for Research on the Holodomor and Man-Made Mass Famines of the 1920s and 1940s; and Yuliia Kotsur, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Holodomor Oral History. They talked about the challenges the museum faces regarding research and daily operations, how it engages with family histories, the narratives it seeks to develop, and the methods it uses to communicate its themes.
The event also included a curatorial tour of the exhibition ‘North Azovian Greeks: Paths of Identity’ by its organisers from the NGO ‘North Azovian Greeks’. The exhibition will run at the Museum until 28 September inclusive.
