Mykola Fedorovych Slipchenko — a painter, graphic artist and member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine — was born on 4 December 1909 in the Odesa region. From 1927 to 1931, he studied at the Odesa Art Institute. He made his mark on the art world as a poster artist. In the early 1990s, he created two paintings dedicated to the Holodomor, which the artist’s family donated to the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide in 2021.
