“Holodomor as a Genocide of the Ukrainian Nation”: Dmytro Bilyi’s lecture in Odesa

On Saturday, September 23, the next lecture will be held as part of our joint project with the Odesa National Art Museum Museum Talk. Professor Dmytro Bilyi, the head of the Holodomor and man-made famine research department of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide, will give this lecture.

During the lecture “Holodomor as Genocide of the Ukrainian Nation,” we will talk about the following:

who needed the Holodomor and why;

what “black boards” are, and what they meant to the residents of the settlement;

how Stalin bought Western politicians, journalists and writers to assure Europe and America that there was no famine;

how many tons of gold and silver were pumped out by traders from Ukraine;

What are the five characteristics of the Holodomor that define it as a genocide?
