The governor of the Pskov region of the Russian Federation repeats propaganda narratives
The governor of the Pskov region of the Russian Federation, Mykhailo Vedernikov, announced the existence of “neo-Nazis” in Ukraine. He accused them of treating their Russian-speaking compatriots badly, abusing prisoners of war, and humiliating “the shared history and common values with Russia.” He accuses the Ukrainian authorities of allegedly “breeding” neo-Nazis for more than 30 years of its independence.
Vedernikov calls Ukrainians and Russians “brotherly nations.” At the same time, he accuses Ukrainians of allegedly succumbing to propaganda and calls this the reason for the unfriendly attitude of Ukrainian citizens towards the Russian Federation.
