The state of New York issued a proclamation on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor
The state of New York issued a proclamation on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor, in which it once again emphasised the recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people and declared November as the Month of Remembrance of the Holodomor in Ukraine.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, announced this on Facebook.
“We are very grateful to the governor of the state of New York, Kathy Hochul, for her solidarity with Ukraine,” the Ambassador wrote.
It is worth mentioning that the state of New York recognised the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people in May 2018. The Senate and State Assemblies have issued a relevant Resolution on this.
