The Selection of Candidates for the Expert and Supervisory Boards of the Holodomor Museum Has Begun
The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine has begun selecting candidates for two permanent bodies of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide: the Expert Council and the Supervisory Board. Their activities aim at ensuring high standards of research, effective management, and transparent oversight of the Museum’s operations.
The Ministry invites Ukrainian and international institutions to join in forming bodies that will play a pivotal role in the development and strategic management of the Museum.
The Expert Council will consist of:
six experts and/or scholars nominated by Ukrainian public associations and research institutions;
six experts and/or scholars nominated by international organisations, international non-governmental organisations or foreign research institutions.

The Supervisory Board of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide is a special supervisory body that oversees the activities of the Museum and its officials. The term of office of the Supervisory Board members is five years. The same person cannot hold office for two consecutive terms. The Supervisory Board aims to balance the interests of the state, society, and cultural actors while ensuring compliance with principles of legality, independence, transparency, accessibility, gender equality, social inclusion, and non-discrimination.
