Ukrainian World Congress encourages the descendants of Holodomor victims to take an active part in the events dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor-Genocide

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-33, which will be celebrated in 2018, the World Congress of Ukrainians (UWC) encourages the descendants of Holodomor victims worldwide to join their voices in raising awareness and educational activities at the international, national and at local levels, the UWC press service reports.
The World Congress of Ukrainians has the following goals:
- honoring the victims of the Holodomor;
- understanding and honoring witnesses to the Holodomor;
- ensuring that the genocide is properly recognized by the international community;
- ensuring the transfer of the history of the Holodomor to future generations
“The spread of the history of the Holodomor is in the interests of the entire Ukrainian nation. It was a terrible crime in our history, which continues to define us as people today. Understanding this story will greatly facilitate the search for ways forward. We need your voice to succeed! “, – the message says.
