The intention to exterminate Ukrainians
A strong proof of the intention to kill a part of the Ukrainian nation by hunger was the prohibition for Ukrainian peasants to leave Ukraine, which was enveloped by hunger. By the law from January 22, 1933, the military and SPD units were located at railway stations, stations, and on the borders of the Ukrainian SSR. Ukrainians were deprived of the opportunity to purchase products outside of Ukraine that suffered from famine.
