Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine visited the Holodomor Museum

16 June 2025

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, Ricardo López-Aranda Jagu, visited the Holodomor Museum. The head of the Museum, Lesia Hasydzhak, met the honoured guest.

Mr Ricardo López-Aranda Jagu honoured the memory of the Ukrainians who died during the Holodomor by lighting a candle at the Altar of Memory. After that, the guest had a tour of the Hall of Memory and the Museum’s premises, during which he learnt about the history of the Holodomor Genocide of 1932-1933.

Finally, the Ambassador received literature on the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Spanish and English, which comprehensively and thoroughly covered the topic of the genocide of Ukrainians and the crimes of the communist totalitarian regime.

It would be worth adding that this is the third visit of the Ambassador to our Museum. We are grateful for such interest and concern!
