Happy Defenders of Ukraine Day!

For the twelfth year in a row, Ukraine has been at war. And for the twelfth year in a row, one of the most important holidays for us is Defenders of Ukraine Day, celebrating the people who are writing Ukraine’s new history.

Today and always, we thank everyone who protects our independence and freedom, who allows us to wake up at home, see our loved ones and plan for tomorrow. Our relatively peaceful life in the rear exists only thanks to you, our defenders. And it is you who give us hope that our children have a future, a free and happy one.

May the Protection of the Mother of God protect you. May bullets pass you by. And may the love of your family always warm you.

Victory has its price: the lives of the bravest. Our memory and respect go to the soldiers who remain forever in the ranks.

Thank you for Ukraine; it is thanks to you that it stands and will continue to stand.
