Lavrska Street renamed back to Ivan Mazepa Street

The Holodomor Museum is changing its address! On 4 November, the Kyiv City Council voted to rename Lavrska Street back to Ivan Mazepa Street! We welcome this decision, which restores historical justice! It reverses the decision made under Yanukovych to rename part of Ivan Mazepa Street to Lavrska Street to appease Moscow during Patriarch Kirill’s visit.

Hetman Mazepa deserves a street named after him! We thank the Kyiv activists and community who fought for the restoration of justice!
