Remembrance Day for Raphael Lemkin: Mykhailo Kostiv was a guest on Radio Kultura

28 August is the day of remembrance for Raphael Lemkin, an international lawyer, graduate of Lviv University and author of the term “genocide”. He was the first to classify the crimes of Stalin’s Soviet regime against the Ukrainian nation as genocide. The lawyer passed away 66 years ago. He was only 59 years old.

Mykhailo Kostiv, head of the Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Research Department at the Holodomor Museum, spoke about Lemkin’s significance on Radio Kultura’s programme “Morning of a Cultured Person”. The host was Yelyzaveta Tsarehradska.
