Students of the Kyiv Vocational School of Water Transport donated family memories of the Holodomor to the museum
On Thursday, January 30, the future sailors from the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Kyiv Higher School of Water Transport” visited the Holodomor Museum. The visitors listened to a tour of the Hall of Memory. Then, they shared with the Museum the results of their research project, “Holodomor: Family Stories in the Context of Ukrainian History.” During the project, the young men studied their families’ stories and researched information about the course of the Holodomor in the regions where they come from. They decided to give the documented testimonies to the Holodomor Museum.
Yuliia Kotsur, head of the Holodomor Oral History Department, thanked the educational institution and its students for preserving historical memory and researching the history of their families. She also presented certificates of gratitude from the Museum to young researchers Andrii Borysov, Dmytro Herasymenko, Nikita Skryshevskyi, Maksym Pastushenko, and Illia Shemet, their teacher Alla Smola, and the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Kyiv Higher School of Water Transport.”
