The publication “Holodomor: Main Facts” is freely available in Bulgarian language

Dear friends, another translation of the publication “Holodomor: Main Facts” is already on our website, this time in Bulgarian. You can download, print, and use it for educational activities in the relevant language environment at the link.

Journalist and presenter Oksana Lehka translated it. Ms Oksana worked on the radio stations “World Broadcasting Service of Ukraine,” Ukrainian Radio, radio “Culture,” and “Era.” She worked as a host of numerous programs. As a journalist, she wrote for various publications, mainly on cultural topics.

Having moved to Bulgaria, she studied the language for ten years and then began translating. Currently, Ms Oksana is a professional sworn translator, collaborates with several institutions and agencies, is a translator at the Bulgarian Red Cross, and is engaged in volunteer work. After the full-scale invasion, she gathered a team, opened an Assistance Point for Ukrainian Refugees, and, along with like-minded people, collected and sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine. She translated a guidebook for Ukrainians granted temporary shelter; as a translator, she participates in programs to assist our compatriots.

The brochure “Holodomor: Main Facts” was translated on a volunteer basis, for which we are deeply grateful to Ms Oksana Lehka.

As a reminder, the publication “Holodomor: Main Facts” (authors – Doctor of Philosophy in History Mykhailo Kostiv and Candidate of Historical Sciences Andrii Kozytskyi) is part of the International Information Project “Truth is Nearby”. Its purpose is to convey the truth about the Holodomor and the Soviet occupation of Ukraine to foreigners in their native languages.
