The publication “Holodomor: Main Facts” is freely available in Turkish

We have added a Turkish version to our collection of translations of the publication “Holodomor: Main Facts.”The book’s layout is already available on our website in the “Publications” section. We invite all interested parties to download, print, and use it for educational activities in the appropriate language environment.

We are sincerely grateful to our translators, who provided professional translation on a volunteer basis:

Mr Ergün Çamlıoğlu (graduated from the Economics and Library Departments of Ankara University. Since 1965, he has lived in Canada. Mr Ergün was the founder and director of the world’s largest book exchange centre and the director of the Turkish-Canadian Society. He published in the Ottawa Citizen and Ottawa Journal newspapers and owns the biggest collection of works about Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and the history of the Turkish Republic. He married to a Ukrainian woman, an ardent Ukrainophile);

Ms Iryna Tyutyundzhyuoglu (graduated from the Faculty of History of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Candidate of Historical Sciences with a specialisation in World History. She worked as a history teacher in high school and a lecturer at a technical school and university. Ms Iryna has a certified level of English and Turkish C1. Since 2022, she has been living in Istanbul);

Mr. Erkin Canpolat (graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Ataturk University (Erzurum) with a degree in Turkish language and literature. After graduating from the educational institution, he still lives and works as a teacher of Turkish language and literature in Istanbul).

As a reminder, the publication “Holodomor: Main Facts” (authors – Doctor of Historical Sciences Mykhailo Kostiv and Doctor of Historical Sciences Andrii Kozytskyi) is part of the International Information Project “Truth is Nearby”. It aims to convey the truth about the Holodomor and the Soviet occupation of Ukraine to foreigners in their native languages. The brochure is published in Ukrainian, English, German, and French.

Translations into Modern Greek, Spanish, Serbian, and Bulgarian are also available on our website. Layouts for language versions in Norwegian, Romanian, and Danish are underway, and translators are working on translations into Italian, Swedish, and Portuguese. We sincerely thank our translators, who, at the request of the museum’s director, Lesia Hasydzhak, volunteered for this project. They are helping us convey the truth about the Holodomor to foreign audiences, especially in countries affected by Russian influence.

We invite all interested to translate the publication “Holodomor: Main Facts” into other languages! We would greatly appreciate assistance with printing and distributing it among scientific institutions in other countries.
