A photo exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor opened in Winnipeg
A photo exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor genocide in Ukraine in 1932-1933 opened in Winnipeg (Canada). It is presented in the building of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba – the provincial parliament.
The author of the photos presented at the exhibition, Norbert K. Iwan, is a Canadian of Ukrainian origin. He is a journalist and teacher, an active member of the local diaspora. In particular, Norbert K. Iwan publishes the magazine “Ukrainian Winnipeg” in the Ukrainian branch of his city. Some of the photos presented at the exhibition were taken by the author five years ago when he visited Ukraine before the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor.
Norbert K. Iwan has been interested in the genocide topic of the Ukrainian people of 1932-1933 for a long time, and it is not by chance because he has his family history of the Holodomor.
It is not the first photo exhibition of a Canadian photographer dedicated to the Holodomor and Ukraine. We thank the author for spreading the truth about the genocide of Ukrainians in the world.
