Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called on Germany to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people at the Bundestag level

Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Andrii Parubii, during the visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Kyiv, called on the Bundestag to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Andrii Parubii wrote about this on Twitter.

“During the meeting in the parliament, I asked the Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel to support the Ukrainian initiative to adopt the decision on the recognition of the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people at the Bundestag level,” said Andrii Parubii.

We recall that on October 13, 2018, in Dusseldorf (Federal Republic of Germany), a scientific conference devoted to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor-Genocide was held.
