Holodomor victims are commemorated in Japan
In the capital of Japan – Tokyo – the Mission of St. Jude of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine will hold an Interfaith Memorial Service in memory of those killed during the Holodomor in 1932-33, to which believers of all faiths are invited, Ukrinform reports.
As part of the service, a “requiem service” (requiem) will be held for the repose of the souls of all victims of genocide at the request of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan Serhii Korsunsky. Mr. Ambassador will pay an official visit to the event.
The service will be held in the Anglican Church of St. Alban Camacho (near Tokyo Tower) on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 15:00.
The organizers ask those present to wear masks and limit the number of people to 50 people. The service will be broadcast on the Facebook page of the St. Jude Ukrainian Orthodox Mission in Tokyo.
