The educational project on the Holodomor received a three-year grant from the Government of Ontario
The Canadian Ontario province has allocated $ 750,000 to support the National Holodomor Educational Tour. This was announced by Ivan Baker, deputy of the local parliament, in the Twitter.
“I am proud to announce that today, the Canada-Ukraine Foundation received a $ 750,000 grant to raise awareness of the Holodomor,” the report said.
“If our next generation will understand the Holodomor lessons, realize how this genocide has occurred, how genocides are happening and how they can be prevented, then we will be able to prevent the repetition of such atrocities in the future,” the MP said during the symbolic ceremony of the award.
We remind that in February 2018 The Canadian Government has allocated a $ 1.45 million three-year grant to support the National Holodomor Educational Tour.
