The U.S. state recognized the Holodomor of 1932-33 as a genocide

U.S.A. joined the recognition of the Holodomor in Ukraine of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. This was reported on October 13 by the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.

“On October 10, in Salt Lake City, in the presence of Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Valeriy Chaly and Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Utah, Jonathan Friedman, Governor of Utah, Gary Herbert, signed the Declaration on the commemoration of the victims of the 1932-1933 Holodomor genocide in Ukraine, and as well as on the announcement on November 24, 2018, of the Day of Remembrance of the Ukrainian Genocide of the Holodomor”, the statement informs.

Recall, that the US Senate recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.
