Three American states recognize the Holodomor as a genocide
The American states of Arizona, Washington, and Maryland recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States of America, Oksana Markarova, reported it.
“Three more states – Washington, Maryland and Arizona joined the recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people and declared November as the month of remembrance of the Ukrainian Holodomor genocide,” the Ambassador wrote on her Facebook page.
According to Markarova, as of today, 31 American states have already issued relevant proclamations recognizing the Holodomor as a genocide.
“Thank you to Washington State Governor Jay Inslee, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, and Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs for their solidarity with Ukraine,” she added.
