The governor of the Tula region repeats propaganda narratives about the “defense of Donbas”
The governor of the Tula region, Oleksii Diumin, said that during the war against Ukraine, Russia allegedly “defends the interests of its state, its people and hundreds of thousands of peaceful people in Donbas.” He believes that allegedly peaceful residents of Donbas were subject to genocide and destruction for 8 years. He said it while addressing the mobilized occupiers and their families during sending off of the invaders to the front. Thus, he spreads Putin’s narrative about the alleged “genocide in Donbas”.
“Now there are already 24 statements by states that they support the position of Ukraine… The Russian Federation deliberately manipulated and manipulates, speculated and speculates that Ukraine allegedly committed some mythical “genocide” for 8 years, in particular on the territory of Donbas. We prove in case, that these are manipulations and speculations, that in this way the Russian Federation violates the sanctity of the concept of the Genocide Convention, because genocide is the most serious of international crimes,” Anton Korynevych, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said in November 2022.
