A friendly visit by our colleagues from the National Military Museum of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
Today, our colleagues from the National Military Museum of the Kingdom of the Netherlands paid a friendly visit to the Holodomor Museum – its director, Dr John Sijmonsbergen, and project manager, Ms Monique Brinks. They were accompanied by our partners from the Centre for the Study of Military History of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The guests were welcomed by the Acting Director General of the Holodomor Museum, Lesia Hasydzhak, and Deputy General Director, Hanna Sokyrina. Colleagues from the Netherlands honoured the memory of the Holodomor victims by lighting candles at the Altar of Memory. Then they listened to a tour about the history of the Holodomor, the creation of our museum, and viewed the new exhibition “Intent”, which tells about the crimes of the Stalinist regime and modern Putin’s Russia, with many obvious parallels.
