Russian singer and Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, Stas Mikhailov, actively supports Russia’s criminal war against Ukraine and spreads the propaganda of the Putin regime. At the beginning of March, literally a week after Russia had unleashed a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Mikhailov published a scandalous post on his Instagram page. The publication said that he was proud to be Russian. The singer also spoke in the words of official Kremlin propaganda saying, that “Russia is not at war with Ukraine, but is conducting a special operation for demilitarization and denazification.”
He noted that the Russian occupiers are “liberating their brothers from people who cannot manage it (Ukraine – ed.), but are leading it into an abyss.” After that, he called on Russians to support the dictator of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin’s criminal actions.
He also supported the “partial” mobilisation in Russia that dictator Putin announced on 21 September. In October, Mikhailov wished strength and patience to the Russians mobilised for the war against Ukraine and called the war itself a “difficult time.”
