Yakov Kedmi (Yakiv Iosifovich Kazakov) is a pro-Russian propagandist and Ukrainophobe who regularly appears on Russian propaganda TV channels as an expert on military-political and international policy issues.
Kedmi often appears as a political scientist in Vladimir Solovyov’s propaganda programs and other Russian TV programs, voicing theses that correspond in content to Kremlin propaganda and are anti-Ukrainian and Ukrainophobic in nature.
Back in 2019, Kedmi stated that supposedly “Nazism is an organic ideology for rotten Europe.” In 2021, he called Ukraine “a poor caricature of a state.”
In March 2022, Kedmi stated that Ukraine supposedly needed to undergo “denazification.” At the same time, he emphasised that Ukraine supposedly needed help with it because “President Volodymyr Zelensky and the nationalists will not do it themselves.”
Later, he also stated that “Nazism is returning at the highest level of technological development.”

During an interview, in response to the question of what he would do first if he became president of Ukraine, Kedmi stated that he would “cut out all the Nazis and Banderists.”
3. He stated that Russia should not lose the war against Ukraine and should not negotiate (March 23, 2022)
According to Kedmi, negotiations with Ukraine and the signing of a peace treaty would be the beginning of Russia’s end because then the Russian Federation would lose its image as a strong state in front of other countries worldwide.
