"Lets Lit a Candle of Memory" Action Took Place in Singapure

On September 15, 2018, an international action “Lets Lit A Candle of Light” took place in Singapore, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor, a genocide of the Ukrainian people of 1932-1933.The Ukrainian community, an asset of the Ukrainian club and diplomats came to commemorate the victims of the Holodomor, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
“Addressing the participants of the action, Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Dmitry Senik called for the memory of the terrible tragedy of our people, which took the lives of millions of Ukrainians as a result of Stalinist repressions” – the statement said.
Also, the exhibition “Facts about the Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine” was held at the Embassy’s premises.
We remind that, on September 14, the action was held in the United Arab Emirates.
On 12 and 13 September The action was held in Russia.
On September 11, the baton of the “Woke up a candle of memory” campaign was accepted by Uzbekistan.
On September 10 The action was held in Kazakhstan.
On September 9 The action was held in Azerbaijan.
On September 8 The action was held in Australia, Belarus and Senegal.
On September 7 Action “A candle of light was lit!” was held in Armenia and Mozambique.
Also, the action was joined in Beijing.
The Ukrainian community in Jordan honored victims of the Holodomor-Genocide.
On September 2, 2018, the International action “Lets Lit A Candle of Light” was held in Turkey.
